The Ultimate High Ground

Two views of the same event: one from pedestrian level, and one taken from the International Space Station.



Mount Etna is a volcano on the east coast of Sicily and apparently it’s one of the most active volcanoes in the world and is in almost constant state of eruption. I find the two above pictures of Etna amazing for the perspectives they offer when grasping the physical size of Earth, or something like that.
